Bloom hat mich seinerzeit von den 47% runtergeholt. Xoriguer ist geschmacklich gelungen unter 40% - es spricht nichts gegen die 38% Vol, aber sehr viel für die präsente Wacholder Note und den guten Geschmack.
What did you mix it with? If it's the same product (and the same recipe) I wholeheartedly disagree.
What I like about Xoriguer:
- Nice story, nice heritage - Nice packaging that reflects the heritage - The fact that they use grape spirit as a base and not grain spirit like most other producers
What I don't like:
- The taste ;)
Why?
The gin recipe seems to have too much citrus oils in it. No matter what you mix it with, you never get rid of a certain soapiness in the taste.
Xoriguer was actually the only bottle I ever bought abroad that I left in the hotel room and didn't take home.
There used to be an importer in the UK who tried to get the word around. They used a variation of a gin & lemonade to promote it. It didn't really work.
So, what did you mix it with?

well - I really do like the Taste. Enjoyed it chilled and neat, as a dry Martini and in different Gin & tonic Variations... Work very well in my Opinion. But how or better why should we discuss out taste ? its may just different ...

I have to say: in general, you are right! People live more and more healthy. Awesome! They focus on exercising, work out a good balance, good and healthy food, taking care of themselves. It is big. Gestern Abend - " 50% Bonded Rye Nacht" in Guten Löwen. Spät nach Mitternacht. Bartender kommen aus den Bars der Stadt für einen Night Cup. Stefan ruft an : "Mach gerade Feierabend und komme gleich rüber. Schon Beefeater 24 probiert?" "Nein" "Ok. bring ich mit..." Gesagt, getan. Kurze Zeit später: Aperitife Rye Cocktail "Red Hook". Last night I was part of a discussion on facebook. Bis zu diesem Gin hatte ich ein Prinzip ... kein Gin unter 40% Vol. Dieser Gin ist die Ausnahme wert.
