Ein gelegentlich stark strapaziertes Wort. In der Regel benutzen es diejenigen gerne und oft, des Sie am wenigsten besitzen ( Vergleiche: Stil, Klasse, etc. ) Eines ist klar: Kultur kommt nicht über Nacht. Beim "aufräumen" der Festplatte gefunden: Ich als Nikolaus vor einer prall gefüllten Nussschale und drei "pfiffigen" Drinks zum X-Mas-Mailing Shooting im Dezember 1998 im ATLAS Bar & Restaurant Hamburg. Zu meiner Ehrenrettung sei gesagt: links im Bild Gin & Tonic. Wir hatten seiner Zeit schon die "guten" Marken im Pouring: Bombay Saphire und Tanqueray. Und wie sich das in den "coolen" Läden in Hamburg gehört hat: im 0,4 ltr. Glas mit VIEL EIS (Doppelgefrorene Hohleiswürfel aus der Wessamat), dicker, nicht knickbarer Trinkhalm & Schaschlikspieß. Und Limd Wedge Baby ...

Es schneit. Geschätzte 20 cm Neuschnee in Hamburg. Das Taxi hat ungewöhnlich lange gebraucht. Ich bin ein wenig in Eile. Ich stehe am Haupteingang der Hamburger Messe. Es ist Internorga. Ich suche mein Ticket. Irgendwo ist es doch….? Kleine Schlange am Einlass. Ich schaue mich, Ticket suchend, um. Und nehme nach und nach immer bewusster war, welche Lebensformen mich umgeben. Wow. Ich vergesse das "Anstehen mit Nachdruck" und beobachte hunderte Menschen, die in diese Messe wollen. Was für eine Mischung! "Gastronomen". Zumindest ein Teil von Ihnen. Was für schräge Typen. Ich bin mir gerade nicht sicher, ob ich das nun gut finden soll. Bin ich "Gastronom?" Neben mir stehen zwei dieser Spezies. Der eine hat eine geschätzte 25 cm breite Gürtelschnalle und steht mit einer Art Cowboyhut am Ticketeinlass und erzählt lauthals von der letzten Nacht. "Freak" denke ich.   A few weeks ago, the Lions did a pop up bar at the spirits trade Show "Hanse Spirit". At Night we ran a bar and the Idea of the menu was people tasting different spirits in different drinks. Late in the night we ran out of classic London Dry Style Gin, which we needed for a Richmond Gimlet on the menu. So I tried a Richmond Gimlet version with one of my favorite Martini Gins and the last one we had in stock: DARNLEY'S VIEW SPICED GIN.  This stuff is a very special gin. I guess the category of SPICED GIN is something which is not 100% clear and I promise you, this will not be the last Gin promoting this super clever category.  Because DARNLEY'S SPICED GIN is a very unique add to the upcoming Gin wave of new "Western Style" gins. Very interesting, amazing Martini Gin, and by the way, which I like very much, for a reasonable price!
