Seit gestern ist mein Besuch bei Hendrik Thomas TVino Online. Leider läßt sich das ganze, recht WEB 2.0 untypisch, nicht einbetten und daher ein Link zur Folge: Shake it Baby! Sommelier meets Bartender @ TVINO Eines vorweg: es hat großen Spaß gemacht, Ich komme gerne wieder! (Wie wärs mit der großen Jahrgangschampagner sabrier Folge inkl. Verkostung, Herr Bornhöft würde uns sicherlich gerne assistieren...) Ich kenne Hendrik schon seit vielen Jahren. Vor Ewigkeiten habe ich, nach meiner Ausbildung, mit seiner Frau zusammen gearbeitet. So habe ich Ihn kennen gelernt. Und da wir Beide Hamburg im Grunde genommen immer treu geblieben sind, und die Gastro, Wein und Bartender Szene ein herlich kleiner Microcosmos ist, sind wir uns immer wieder über den Weg gelaufen. Mr. Eikerling from Spirits Worldwide in Germany got Georgios Patsias from Cartavio Peru to bring the first bottles of Catarvio XO Rum to Hamburg. First bottles ever opend outside peru... Great Tasting, hope the Bartenders in Berlin will enjoy it tomorrow as well. The Pisco Mr Patsias brought are also one of the best I have ever tried. Seems like there will be a big Pisco Tasting at LE LION very soon ... more details will follow.

Around 2000 I ordered my first "tailored" handmade Suit - It was done by Marc Anthony. Now - 9 Years later, I am back at Anthonys and its great!   Just ordered my first suit here again and already love it. Geschätzte Kollegen, Ich will kein Hehl draus machen. Seit Jahren spiele ich mit dem Gedanken aus dem Verein Deutsche Barkeeper Union auszutreten. Ich nenne es bewusst Verein, denn den selbsterklärten Status eines Berufsverbandes erfüllt „unser“ Verein in meinen Augen bei weitem nicht. Und, Nachname hin oder her, eins bin ich nicht: ein Vereinsmeyer (mit Y bitte schön! ). Doch, andererseits, sind die seit einiger Zeit überwiegenden Online stattfindenden Unkenrufe gegen die DBU mir ebenso ein Dorn im Auge. Dear Cocktail Lovers, I uploaded a book I really like to scridb: 1939 La Florida Cocktail Book Havana Cuba Don't forget to Download it at scribd! As fare as I know it is called: La Florida - named after the great and world famous Bar now known as La Floridita. I have a few questions, maybe someone can answer: As fare as I can see, their is now Year on this book. Some origins say it is 1934 - some say it is 1939. Any Informations about that? Who wrote this book? In the Foreword someone is writing with the Signature of „L.F.M.“ - An Ideas? The book names a few brands like Bacardi, Gordons, Noilly Prat, Martini (funny think - thats the today portfolio of Bacardi Germany ...) and on the other side some are just called Curacao etc. What do you think?
